I am currently working on the micro- and meso-structured chalcogenides. Other than exploring new compounds with open two- or three- dimensional structures, I am also studying their properties such as semiconductivity and ion-exchange. The latter is a special potential of open-framework materials for many purposes such as separation, catalysis and environmental remediation etc.
I had worked in Michigan State University for 4 years before I arrived at Northwestern in September of 2006 to continue and complete my Ph.D. study.
