I received my M.S. (1998) and DEA (1999) both in Inorganic and Materials Chemistry from the University of Yaounde I (Cameroon). In October 2000, I started my PhD studies in the group of Prof. Michael Ruck at the Dresden University of Technology (TU-Dresden, Germany) where I synthesized and investigated the crystal structures and properties of quaternary chalcogenide halides containing silver and bismuth. Shortly after the completion of my doctorate degree (January 2004), I joined the group of Prof. Mercouri Kanatzidis at Michigan State University (02/2004 - 09/2006) as a postdoctoral research associate. On September 2006, I moved with the group to Northwestern University where I am currently working as a research associate. My postdoctoral projects involved the investigation of nanostructured PbTe-based bulk materials for thermoelectric energy conversion and the investigation of composition - structure - property relationships in the homologous series (Sb2)n(Sb2Te3)m.
