I joined the group in September 2026 as a Northwestern Sustainability and Energy Fellow, co-advised by Prof. Mercouri Kanatzidis and Prof. Richard Schaller. My current research focuses on understanding the optoelectronic properties of wide-bandgap 3D and 2D halide perovskites and metal halides, and their integration as absorber layers in perovskite solar cells. During my PhD at Cambridge, I investigated the unique fundamental properties of tin-containing perovskites (compared to lead-only perovskites) using solar cells and field-effect transistors as complementary platforms. As a postdoc at Oxford, I subsequently worked on developing efficient and bright thermally evaporated perovskite light-emitting diodes across the visible and near-infrared region. Before joining Northwestern, I spent six months at Imperial College London synthesizing binary and ternary chalcogenide nanostructures for photocatalytic C-C coupling of alcohols and electrocatalytic CO2 conversion to formate. Supported by approximately £150k in research and equipment-access funding, my research has been recognized through several awards, including the RSC Energy Sector Best PhD Thesis Award (2023), IET Hudswell International Research Award (2022), and E-MRS Graduate Student Award (2021).
