Research

My research focuses on the exploratory synthesis of quaternary thiotellurite compounds. These compounds are known to have large structural diversity, and the thiotellurite TeS₃^2- fragment is a ligand with high multidenticity, bonding flexibility, and thermal stability. Due to these structural attributes, chalcogenide materials such as thiotellurites can possess promising second-harmonic generation and ion-exchange capabilities, which are useful for laser and environmental remediation, respectively.
