Directions and Parking Instructions

Directions to Campus

Because Ryan Hall ("or Nano" as it is often called) is nestled in a cluster of other science buildings with little street access and Google/Yahoo/Mapquest directions won't work it is important to follow these directions to find us.

Directions from Interstate 90/94 (from both North and South):

  1. Exit 90/94 on Dempster Street going EAST.  Take Dempster for several miles into Evanston.
  2. Turn LEFT on Chicago Ave. (Chicago Ave. is after Ridge Ave. and go under bridges)
  3. Chicago will merge with Sheridan Rd. (You will see the University on the Right)

Parking Closest to Ryan Hall

WARNING: Parking Pass is Required to Park on Campus (Two Hour parking is available on streets west of Sheridan Rd.)

Please Note the Following:

  • You must have a yellow parking pass with the date marked to park in the visitor lots. A pass can be retrieved from the Group Assistant or ANSER Center Admin. Do not leave your car without a pass for more than a few minutes or you WILL be ticketed.
  • Use Tech Dr. (BLUE LINE) for drop-off or Pick-up at Ryan Hall
  • The Ryan Hall East Entrance is only accessible by walking path (YELLOW LINES)
  • Lot marked with Red 'X' is under construction. Only park in the Green lots designated for visitors. Lots East of Ryan Hall can be reached using Lincoln St. (ORANGE ARROWS)
  • Do not park in Reserved spaces even in visitor lots.
