COORDINATION CHEMISTRY, MOLECULAR IMAGING & THERANOSTICS

The Meade Group is located in Silverman Hall as part of Northwestern University's Chemistry of Life Processes Institute. Our research focuses on Inorganic coordination chemistry with applications for biological molecular imaging, new theranostics and electronic biosensors of DNA and proteins. The design, synthesis, and physical characterization of transition metal and lanthanide coordination complexes are an integral foundation of our research.

Students in our group have the opportunity to learn: organic synthesis, inorganic synthesis, X-ray crystallography, HPLC techniques, cell culture techniques, fluorescence imaging, magnetic resonance imaging,  animal studies and more.

Group meetings: Thursdays, 5:00 pm, Silverman Hall 1531, CAMI Conference Room
