I am currently working on Intermetallic Materials in the group. My project focuses on using metallic flux to grow new compounds. These compounds often have complex modulated structures. Solving these difficult structures is necessary in order to draw structure function correlations in these compounds.
I arrived in the Kanatzidis Group in October 2006 after finishing my PhD at Northwestern University with Profesor James Ibers. My work in the Ibers Group was focused on finding new actinide chalcogenides and understanding the roll the f-electrons in the actinide materials.
