Welcome!
You are cordially invited to participate in the inaugural Chicago Organic Symposium to be held at Northwestern University, Evanston, IL on April 4, 2009. The campus of Northwestern University is located on the shore of beautiful Lake Michigan approximately 10 miles north of downtown Chicago. This exciting event will be held at the Allen Center, the home of Northwestern’s Executive Education programs for its Kellogg Business School.
Organic chemistry is a central science that fuels discoveries in pharmaceutical research, biology, materials, nanotechnology, and medicine. The ability to create new molecule entities with precise control and discover new reactions has and will continue to profoundly impact society. The purpose of this conference is to bring together all levels of organic chemists (research scientists, faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate and undergraduate students) from the Chicago area. This symposium celebrates our regional strength and allows us to share information on this ever expanding and important field.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to Northwestern in April for what promises to be an exciting one day event that we hope will continue for years to come.
